If you haven't ordered your
SewAmused
Workbook . . .
You're missing OUT!
WHAT is it? It is a comprehensive, logical,
straightforward,
step-by-step, graphics-laden BIBLE (no blasphemy
intended <smile>) for
all Singer PSW owners. It not
only tells you WHAT to do, right down to
the most minute detail, it SHOWS you how to
do it. It even helps you to
check to see if you did it CORRECTLY.
No guessing. No bewilderment.
And . . . . it covers the areas of our
wonderful software that are
LEAST explained in the manual - using the
built-in fonts, manipulating
them, setting parameters for them, skewing
and stretching them, even
right down to explaining all the features
of the simulator for VIEWING
them ( or any of your designs). It covers
metafiles - what they are,
how to digitize them, the differences in using
metafiles vs bitmapped
images for digitizing and even some differences
in commands when using
one or the other.
It thoroughly explains each type of stitch
method and SHOWS them to you
in excellent graphic form. It tells
you how to use and what to use them
for as it 'travels' through the enlightening
lessons.
There are sections on digitizing by the manual
method, the combination
of manual and autotrace (that 'secret' that's
only mentioned in the
Singer Manual, but you can 'find' in the software!)
and autotrace-alone
digitizing . If you have 'wondered'
how to use these features in our
software, or even not sure where to begin
using any of these
methods---this will CURE you.
And EDITING!!!! This feature is one of
the MOST valuable features of
our software IMHO. It takes you through
that process, too - logically
and definitively.
There's even a section on utilizing the new
cross stitch feature in
version 1.1 - something I really haven't explored
in this software at
all. It looks like - from there explanation
- that it's a much better
feature than I had thought. Even gives
you a chart for the x-stitch -
stitch parameters and the size Aida you use.
How many times on one of the Lists do you see
someone requesting help
with appropriate 'placement' of a design on
an article of clothing,
etc.? They've included a chart that
shows you WHAT and WHERE. There is
also a handy quick reference chart that you
will want to keep in eye
view of your computer as it lists all the
keyboard commands for the
various functions/commands in PSW.
And, to top it off - there's the cutest COVER
page for your manual.
(oops, I haven't even mentioned the files
included for the lessons!)
Am I affiliated? No. Am I impressed?
Absolutely!
And YOU will be, too. I PROMISE!
